NAIA Ball Team of the Week – Week 4

NAIA Ball Team of the Week (Reinhardt, GA)
Reinhardt University (GA) finished their week by ending every game with a score in the double digits. Reinhardt would start the week at Brewton-Parker (GA) and finish the week home with Truett-McConnell (GA), Overall Reinhardt would outscore their opponents 45-10, and would outscore Truett-McConnel 31-1 in their three game series.
To start the week Reinhardt would go 13 innings with Brewton-Parker (GA). Ultimately they would win the game with a five run inning in the top of the 13th. Reinhardt would walk away with a 14-9 victory to open up their week.
Reinhardt would defeat Truett-McConnell (GA) 11-1 in their series opener. Right-hand pitcher Andrew Herbert would pick up the win. Herbert would throw five shutout innings allowing five hits and two walks while collecting 6 strikeouts. Third baseman Dryden Howse would help out with this win as well by having himself a 4 RBI game and hitting a solo homerun.
In the second game of the series Reinhardt would shut out Truett-McConnell (GA) in a 10-0 victory. Right-hand pitcher Tate Dearing would get himself the win on the bump with a five shutout inning performance. Designated hitter Jacob Mantooth would have himself a game as well. He finished the day 3-4 and collected two runs batted in.
The series finale would result in another 10-0 victory for Reinhardt. Shortstop Robert Phelps would be a big part in this victory. Phelps finished the day with four runs batted in while launching a three-run home run. The winning pitcher for the game is right-handed pitcher Timothy Pate. Pate would toss five shutout innings and rack up five strikeouts. This would also be Pate’s first win of the 2025 season.
Reinhardt will play next at home against Ottawa University (AZ) on February 20, 2025 at 12pm EST.
