
Ayden Makarus – Bellevue (NE) – The utility player from Alberta, Canada put together an outstanding week at the plate as #23 Bellevue traveled to Fayette, Missouri for a four-game series against Central Methodist. Makarus played a pivotal role in the Bruins’ offensive success, helping them avoid an upset bid from the unranked Eagles.Over the course of the series, Makarus went 9-for-16 (.563) at the plate. He drove in 12 runs, scored seven times, drew three walks, and launched three home runs. His dominant performance powered #23 Bellevue to a four-game sweep of Central Methodist. With momentum on their side, the Bruins now turn their focus to a tough road test in Florida, where they will face #8 Webber International in a three-game series.
