Pitcher of the week

Cesar Avila – University of the Cumberlands (KY) – Throwing a no-hitter is special and Junior Cesar
Avila did it on Sunday. The right-handed pitcher threw a no-hitter with thirteen strikeouts and 108
total pitches across seven innings.
Avila’s no-hitter helped the Patriots beat Fisher College 14-0 in the third game of a four-game set.
The Patriots ended up sweeping the series to improve their record to 14-3 on the year.
On the year, Avila is 2-0 in the Win/Loss column. He has appeared in four games and has
accumulated 20.1 innings and a 2.66 ERA.
