Jake Olsen – Keiser (FL) – The third-year right-handed hitting infielder delivered an outstanding performance at the plate this past week. Olsen finished the week hitting 11-for-19 while driving in nine runs, drawing four walks, and recording three doubles, one triple, and one home run. Olsen opened his season in Keiser’s home opener against McPherson (KS), where he went 3-for-5 with five RBIs, including a game-ending home run in the bottom of the eighth inning that secured a mercy-rule victory. His offensive production did not stop there, as Olsen followed up with an impressive series against Brewton-Parker (GA), going 8-for-14 and collecting five hits in the series finale. Olsen’s dominant showing at the plate earns him this week’s NAIA Ball Player of the Week honors.
