Team of the week

After a midweek game versus Brewton-Parker, Georgia Gwinnett hosted the CAC Showdown. In four games, the Grizzlies outscored their opponents 102-14. Brewton-Parker got beat 17-8 on Tuesday, Crowley’s Ridge lost 34-3, Florida National was outscored 38-3 and Voorhees got shutout, as Georgia Gwinnett beat them 13-0. 

The Grizzlies broke the single-game school record for runs scored twice during the weekend, as well as the single-game school records for walks drawn (22) and stolen bases (19) in the game versus Crowley’s Ridge. 

With the four victories this past week, Georgia Gwinnett improves to 39-6 on the year and 5-0 in conference play and is also this week’s NAIA Ball Team of the Week.
