Team of the week

Lewis-Clark State College hosted a four-game series versus #2 LSU Shreveport on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Warriors ended up sweeping the series, outscoring the Pilots 27-14.

In game one, Drake George and Jake Green combined for a shutout, George pitched the first seven innings in which he fanned eight, Green earned the save in a two-inning outing. The second game of the series went into extra innings, when Lewis-Clark walked it off in the tenth. Magnum Hofstetter hit the walk-off homerun for the Warriors. Game three started off hot for the Warriors, as they put up a six spot in the first inning. Charlie Updegrave went 2-for-3 and collected four RBIs, his hits were a double and a homerun. Lewis-Clark plated fourteen runs on fourteen hits in game four, Pu’ukani De Sa led the team with four hits in five at bats. 

The final scores were 1-0, 4-3, 8-3 and 14-8. After these four wins, the Warriors are now 27-9 on the year.
