Southeastern alum Gabe Grinder returns to the university he once played for and has led the Fire to an incredible 23-2 start facing an extremely tough schedule. While there was turnover in the coaching staff and some of the roster, the mix of returners and newcomers have meshed well so far and will need to do so again this weekend in this Top 10 matchup. By now, all of you reading this know the name Reese Wissinger who was a unanimous All-American in 2023 and opened up the 2025 season on a 28 innings scoreless streak. Accompanying him in the rotation is Aaron Robertson, who currently sits at third in the country with an ERA 0f 0.97 in his 6 starts. These two form one of the nations best pitching duos, and they will need to deliver yet again against a very talented Webber International offense. Speaking of offense, this Southeastern team boasts 3 hitters with an average over .430 and are lead by Jon Paul Penella who is third in the country with an even .500 average. Between Charlie Collins, Peter Tassler, and Alfonso Villalobos, the trio has driven in 111 runs already through the first 26 games and always seem to deliver the big hit when it matters most. Webber International (21-5/ 2-2) - We start on the mound again with the Warriors of Webber International who will be in the opposite dugout this weekend. Some of the nations best arms will be on display on both sides as Head Coach Collin Martin enters his 6th year in Babson Park and has this 2025 group looking like they can make yet another run towards Lewiston.
