Indiana Tech – Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic – After dropping their season-opening series to Midway (KY) two games to one, Indiana Tech hit the road to Williamsburg, Kentucky, for a three-game matchup against No. 6 Cumberlands (KY).

Game one featured a late-inning comeback that ultimately gave Indiana Tech the victory. Trailing by two runs in the top of the ninth, designated hitter Jack Ferguson delivered a go-ahead two-run home run to give the Warriors a 7–6 lead. Kaden Plank shut the door in the bottom half, tossing a shutout inning to cap off a near-perfect outing. Plank finished with three shutout innings of relief, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out one. His performance earned him both the win and the save, improving his record to a perfect 2–0 while also recording his first save of the season.

Game Two Indiana Tech once again found itself trailing, this time down 2–0 in the top of the seventh inning. Cumberlands’ Nolan Wilson had been dominant, throwing six shutout innings while allowing three walks and striking out seven. However, after his departure, the Warriors’ offense erupted for seven runs in the seventh inning. Brycen Hannah and Garrett Rainey led the charge. Hannah launched a two-run home run to give Indiana Tech a 6–2 lead, finishing his day 1-for-5 with two RBIs. Rainey followed immediately with a solo home run, making back-to-back blasts for the Warriors. Colton Leatherman was called upon to secure the win and preserve the 2–0 series lead. Pitching the ninth inning, Leatherman allowed one run on three walks but managed to maintain control and close out the game, earning his second save of the season.

Game Three Game three turned into an offensive shootout, but Indiana Tech remained in control throughout, taking the lead in the second inning and never surrendering it. Keelan Dunkle and Noah McEldowney powered the Warriors’ offense with home runs. McEldowney hit a two-run shot and finished with three RBIs, while Dunkle added a solo home run as part of a four-RBI performance. Leatherman was once again called on to finish the game. With a slightly larger cushion, he pitched the final inning, allowing two hits and one earned run while striking out one. Despite the late push from Cumberlands, Indiana Tech held on for an 11–9 victory. Indiana Tech’s win secured the three-game sweep over No. 6 Cumberlands (KY), marking an impressive bounce-back performance on the road.
