NAIA Ball Player of the Week - Kaden Owens - Mid America Nazarene (KS) Kaden Owens - Mid America Nazarene (KS) - Lefty swinging first baseman would have a dominant week in the batter’s box. Owens would finish the week with a .571 batting average (12-21) with five home runs and 16 runs batted in. Owens offensive performance would help lead his team to a 5-0 record on the week including a win over #23 Missouri Baptist and a four game sweep over conference opponent Missouri Valley. Owens would end his week with a walk-off home run to complete the four game sweep over Missouri Valley and earn him this week’s NAIA Ball Player of the Week. Cooper Carter

NAIA Ball Team of the Week - LSU Shreveport LSU Shreveport - Needless to say LSUS had an offensive heavy week. Outsourcing their opponents 109-6 and all of their games finishing in the double digits. LSUS opened up the week against Texas Wesleyan and finished the week with a three game series against conference opponent Texas College. To open up the week LSUS defeated Texas Wesleyan 15-2. Diego Aragon would lead the hitting with three hits and Jackson Syring would lead in runs batted in with a total of three. Calvin Shepherd would pick up his first win of the season. Shepherd threw four innings giving up two hits, one run, and collecting five strikeouts. Their second game of the week would be the series opener against conference opponent Texas College. LSUS defeated Texas College an outstanding 37-0. Diego Aragon would lead in hits again this game with another three hit game. Jose Sallorin would lead in runs batted in with 8. Isaac Rohde would pick up his eight win of the season improving his record to 8-0. Rohde would throw five innings only allowing one hit and zero walks. He would also rack up five strikeouts in this massive victory.  The second game of the series had a similar result with LSUS taking a 15-0 victory. Draven Ziegler would pick up his eighth win of the season moving his record to 8-0. Ziegler would throw five innings with 6 strikeouts and only allowing two hits and zero free bases.  In the series finale LSUS would gain the attention of sports media across America when they scored 42 runs in a 7 inning game. LSUS would sweep Texas College with a 42-4 victory ending the week 4-0 and keeping their perfect season alive. Standing at a 33-0 record for their 2025 campaign LSUS would be this week’s NAIA Ball Team of the Week. Cooper Carter
